Our AML and Verification Policy

This page explains, in plain terms, how we verify who you are, how we monitor transactions and what we require under the anti money laundering rules of our licence. Since our launch in 2024, verification has been a standing condition of every account on mrpunter-aud.com.

Our Anti Money Laundering Commitment

We hold licence 8048/JAZ2024-055 from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, and that licence binds us to a full anti money laundering (AML) and counter terrorism financing programme. We run that programme ourselves, every day, across every account on our platform. It is not paperwork we keep for the regulator; it is the set of controls that decides which deposits clear, which withdrawals pay out and which accounts we close.

Our AML programme covers customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting and staff training. We appoint a dedicated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) who owns the programme, reviews alerts and files reports with the relevant authorities when the law requires it. Where a transaction raises a genuine concern, we are legally prevented from telling you that a report has been made, and we will not discuss it with you.

When We Verify Your Account

We verify in three situations: at registration, where we screen your details against sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) lists; at your first withdrawal, where we require full identity verification before any funds leave your account; and at thresholds, where larger deposits, unusual activity or a change in your payment methods triggers a re check. You can play and deposit before full verification, but nothing is paid out until your identity is confirmed.

We ask only for what the rules require, and nothing more. Each document has one job.

  • Government issued photo ID (passport, driver licence or national ID card) to confirm you are who you say you are and that you are 18 or over
  • Proof of address dated within the last three months (utility bill, bank statement or tenancy agreement) to confirm your residential address
  • Proof of payment method ownership (card photo showing the first six and last four digits, or a screenshot of your e wallet or crypto wallet) to confirm the money moving through your account is yours

How Verification Works Step by Step

Verification runs through the cashier section of your account. Most players finish in under ten minutes, and our compliance team reviews submissions within 24 to 48 hours. Here is the exact sequence.

  • Log in and open the Verification tab in your account profile
  • Select the document type for each check (identity, address, payment method)
  • Photograph or scan each document so all four corners and the full document are visible, with no cropping or glare
  • Upload the files and submit them for review
  • Wait for our decision, which arrives by email and appears in your account, typically within 24 to 48 hours

How we protect your documents

Your files are transmitted over TLS encryption and stored on access restricted servers. Only vetted compliance staff can open them, every access is logged, and we never share your documents with third parties outside the regulators and payment processors who legally require them. Blurred or partial uploads are rejected, so a clean first submission is the fastest path through.

Why We Ask for Source of Funds

For most players, identity and address checks are the end of it. Source of funds evidence becomes relevant when the money moving through your account does not match what we would expect, and the rules require us to understand where it came from. We ask only when the pattern of play gives us a reason.

Typical triggers include cumulative deposits well above our usual player profile, a series of deposits structured just under reporting thresholds, large single deposits paid in crypto, or a withdrawal request that follows a rapid run of high value deposits. In these cases we may ask for three months of payslips, a bank statement, tax returns, a sale contract or evidence of a business income stream. A request for source of funds is not an accusation; it is a legal obligation, and your account stays open while you gather the documents.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated monitoring that screens for structuring, rapid deposit to withdrawal cycling, third party payments and connections to sanctioned individuals or jurisdictions. Alerts go to our compliance team, who review them within one business day and either close them or escalate to the MLRO. Our key transaction rules are set out below.

CheckRule we apply
Withdrawals to the source of fundsWe pay winnings back to the same method you deposited with wherever the method supports it
Minimum withdrawal50 AUD
Maximum withdrawal15,000 AUD per week
Withdrawal processing1 to 3 business days, up to 24 hours for crypto
Deposit minimum30 AUD
Casino feesNone charged by us on deposits or withdrawals

When Verification Fails

If a document is blurry, cropped, expired or fails to match your account details, we reject it and tell you which check failed, so you can upload a better copy. If you simply do not provide the requested documents, the rules dictate what happens next, and we apply it without exception.

Withdrawals are held first. If documents remain outstanding after 30 days, we suspend the account, and after a further period without a response we close it and return any confirmed balance to a verified payment method in your name. Accounts with unresolved AML concerns, confirmed third party funding or falsified documents are closed immediately, balances may be forfeited where the licence permits, and the matter is reported to the authorities. False documents also end any right to a refund of deposits made from the same source.

How Long We Keep Your Documents

Our licence conditions require us to retain identity and transaction records for at least five years after an account closes, and we hold them for that full period. Retention exists for two reasons: regulators must be able to audit our decisions, and law enforcement must be able to trace funds through our platform when a legitimate request is made. After the retention period expires, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your files. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold, or ask us to correct it, at any time by writing to [email protected].

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I withdraw before my verification is complete?

No. We require identity, address and payment method verification before the first withdrawal leaves your account. Verification is reviewed within 24 to 48 hours, so submitting clean documents early avoids delays.

Why was my withdrawal sent back to my card instead of my crypto wallet?

We return funds to the same method you deposited with wherever that method supports withdrawals. If the original method cannot receive payouts, we pay to a verified method in your own name.

Do you verify every player or only large withdrawals?

Basic screening happens at registration for every account. Full document verification is required before the first withdrawal for every player, and additional checks can be triggered at any time by thresholds or unusual activity.

Is my passport scan safe with you?

Yes. Documents are encrypted in transit, stored on restricted servers, accessible only to vetted compliance staff, with every access logged and shared only with regulators or payment processors who legally require them.

What happens if I refuse a source of funds request?

Withdrawals stay on hold while the request is open. If you do not respond, the account moves to suspension and eventual closure, with any confirmed balance returned to a verified payment method in your name.
